CHIPS Surveyors are qualified Building Surveyors in Chichester, Sussex, Hampshire, Surrey, London and surrounding areas.
…and the valuation carried out by your lender is for their purpose only and to satisfy themselves of the security of the loan. It can take as little as 15 minutes to complete and is not designed to give you information about the condition of the property.
My job is to make sure that your dream home won’t become a nightmare. I will look after everything from booking the survey appointment to delivering you a clear, thorough and value-for-money survey report on the condition of your new home.
I’ll find out from you before the survey what interests you about the property and what specific concerns you may have.
Wherever I can, I will look at everything from the top of the roof to the bottom of the drains to give you the reassurance that your money will be safe. Where there’s problems I’ll explain them in jargon-free language, tell you how serious they are, and advise you what you can do about them.
My survey reports are laid out clearly and simply, using photographs to explain what’s going on, and avoiding those annoying caveats and exclusions wherever I can.
My report, like my inspection, will be thorough and complete, and my aim is to answer all of your questions to help you make a clear decision about whether the property is right for you.
A CHIPS Home Buyers Building Survey will normally cost between 0.1 and 0.2% of the purchase price of the property, but many buyers find they can save between 5 and 10 times the cost of the survey by renegotiating the purchase price armed with the information I provide.Download the Home Buyer and Building Survey Summary
